You are driven to Niffelheim, a somewhat dangerous land, but no: Niffelheim isn't as dangerous as much as it is ominous. This Kingdom sprite is just as linear and predictable as its numerous predecessors.Niffelheim has an internal schedule which never changes. It's a resource gathering game and the makers made sure that a resource available by accident wouldn't topple the "ideal" progress path they have designed. All that is left to do is just play and restart continuously until you've figured out which resources to harvest at what time to meet the expectations on the ominous quests given.Find me a bottle of "Whatever Potion" or I destroy your kingdom. That's basically Niffelheim in a sentence, which you can copy paste for every instances on the calendar. The rest is garbage, the game was NOT developed and designed by people who understand gaming at all. It's dumb, ruthless, and because they couldn't figure out balance before designing, nothing more than a exercise in enduring random grievance. The game is littered with half-bugs and incomplete features. It's apparent that they couldn't implement clicking correctly, the regular controls are atrocious and sometimes don't even work. The only positive on this title is the graphic style which is somewhat appealing. Unfortunately it's not a graphic designer they needed for a recommendation, it's a real developer and a real game designer.. Quite a simple relaxing game full of beautiful art and fun gameplay. Pros:-Nice graphics and artwork-Sound and music is incredible and relaxing-Tower defense is mechanic is really fun-Combat is simple but enjoyable-Price was nice on sale at 6.79 CAD! (Worth it!)Cons:-Fight, stuff breaks quick... go build it and get it broken again....-Repetitive aspects-Kinda rough when picking up items or going through doors as it takes a min for it to process (Not really a con just kinda me picking on something that mildly bothers me personally)Bottom line.... if you can get it on a bit of a sale or really love viking folklore, art, fun gameplay and beautiful ambient music get it. FYI the art for the one character sure looks like Stoick the Vast... which is worth it for $7 alone ha ha. Performance runs smooth and gameplay is fluid. Have yet to play multiplayer but my hopes are high!. Fun at first but very grindy with gradual uninteresting upgrades. Combat mechanics are pretty bad, spamming the attack key seems to be the best strategy from what I can tell as you are penalized blocking by still taking damage. Not to mention an hour in there are larger beasts that just one or two shot you blocking your path. I died to a bison and my ghost had to pass the unbeatable bison to get to my corpse only to be stuck behind it. I do like the artwork, music, and general feel of the game. The actual gameplay, UI, combat, annoying inventory management, and boring baby step progression keeps me from enjoying it.. Now this is my type of game. It would do well on mobile! Lots of grinding fighting and building wrapped up in RPG mechanics...just lovely. Could have been a nice little game, but one oversight from the developers made me request a refund: you have to aim at your enemy with the mouse, but you cannot bind a mouse key. BAsically, the game forces you to waste an entire hand on the mouse aim, and as most people only have two hands, that's quite a chunk wasted.
